Kinnamon - Winifred Wilson

Mrs. Winifred Kinnaman, widow of Dr. Howard Kinnaman, died at 2 a.m. Wednesday in the Ben Hur Nursing Home here. She was 76. Dr. Kinnaman died Aug. 11, 1962, after more than 40 years of medical practice here. Mrs. Kinnaman was an active member of the First Christian Church. For many years she was in charge of the primary department of the Sunday School. She was a member of the PEO Sisterhood, Athenian Club, Current Events Club, Flower Lovers Club and the Art League. A native of Danville, Ind., she was born Aug. 18, 1893, to Allen J. and Josephine Wilson. She married Dr. Kinnaman in Danville on Sept. 18, 1917. She attended Earlham College. Surviving are a son, Allen of Niles, Mich.; two daughters, Mrs. Leland (Mary Edith) Moe of Denver and Mrs. Lee (Martha Jo) Saunders of Eau Gallie, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Robert (Jeanne) Swain of Boston, and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at Bright Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Friday with Rev. Howard Miller officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may pay respects at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday. The family requests donations to the primary department of the First Christian Church’s educational building in lieu of flowers. – jlr
