Floyd L. Kinkead, 72, a Montgomery County native and brother of Mrs. Leo (Doris) Arnold of Crawfordsville died late Friday afternoon at Dunn Memorial Hospital in Bedford, Ind. He was a longtime resident of Bedford and a commercial printer. He owned and operated the Stone City Press there. Mr. Kinkead was a member of the Bedford Chamber of Commerce, Gillen Post 33 of the American Legion, Masonic Lodge No 14 F&AM, Order of Eastern Star, No. 129, Indianapolis Valley of the Scottish Rite, lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of Police and a former Rotarian. He was also a member of the Bedford First Christian Church. He was born in Montgomery County Feb 8 1898 to Fred and Lucy Davis Kinkead. He was married to Ossa C. Wiatt Feb 8 1919 at Greencastle. She preceded him in death. He later married Aubie Cox at Bedford who survies. Surviving in addition tot he widow and sister are a son, Joseph L. Kinkead of Bedford; a daughter, Mrs. Roslyn (Genevieve) Smith of Bedford; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Kenneth Wright of Indianapolis; a brother, Donald Kinkead of Atlanta, GA; 7 grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at the Ferguson Lee Funeral Home in Bedford, Rev. John Gillum and Brother Edwin Williams will officiate. Burial will be in the Cresthaven Memory Garden Cemetery at Bedford. Friends may call at the funeral home.
