Gladys A. King, 61, a native of Crawfordsville and Spanish teacher in Elkhart High School since 1925, died at 7:45 p.m. Thursday in West View Convalescent Home after a long illness. Miss King, who lived at 314 Dale St., in Elkhart, was born Oct. 27, 1902, a daughter of Charles H. and Iona Grandstaff King. She was a graduate of Franklin College and a member of the Elkhart Central Christian Church and Delta Zeta sorority. Survivors include a brother, Byron L. King of Park Ridge, Ill. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Saturday at the Westbrook & Metz Funeral Home in Elkhart, where services are announced for 1:30 p.m. Monday with Rev. Allen S. Estill officiating.
