The funeral of Mrs. Elizabeth King occurred at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Amanda Vance, on south Washington street, on Sunday. Mrs. King was the widow of Joseph King, a farmer of this county. She was born ninety-seven years ago in Bourbon county, Kentucky, and was an invalid for fifty years. She was a Methodist by religion and a gentle, consistent Christian always. The last few months of her life were passed at her daughter's house near Centerville, Mrs. Mary Eliason's. The two daughters already mentioned and William King, of Missouri, are the surviving children. - thanks to Kim H

The funeral of Mrs. Elizabeth King will be conducted from the home of her daughter, Mrs.Amanda Vance, at 808 south Washington street, at four o'clock Sunday afternoon, August 27. Interment at Oak Hill. Mrs. King was born in Bourbon county, Kentucky, ninety-five years ago; was the widow of Joseph King, a farmer of this county. Three children survive her; Mr. William King, of Missouri; Mrs. Mary Eliason of Centerville, Ind., and Mrs. Amanda Vance of Crawfordsville. Mrs. King had been an invalid for more than fifty years of her long life. She was a Methodist by faith and always a gentle and consistent christian.
