Joel McKimsey (sic - Kimsey?) Dies at Michigan City Joel Kimsey (sic), 73, a native of Montgomery County, who was in the junk and used merchandise business here a number of years, died Friday (May 22) at a hospital in Michigan City. He had been in failing helath six years. Born Feb 27, 1880, Mr. Kimsey was the son of Benjamin F. and Mary Mikels Kimsey. He had never married. Surviving are a ahalf - brother, Anthony A. Watts, Montgomery County prosecutor; a half sister, Mrs. Maude E. Hubble, Lafayette; and a niece, Mrs. Margurite Cassel, Crown Point. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Charles who died in 1922 and an infant sister. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Proffitt & Sons Funeral Home with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
Note: Joel Lark Kimsey is buried in Oak Hill Cemetery and his tombstone does say KIMSEY vs. McKimsey
