Prof. J. P. Kimmell, physical instructor at the Indiana State Normal School at Terre Haute, was struck on the head Thursday afternoon and fatally wounded by a 16 pound hammer with which one of the athletes of the college was practicing. His head was fractured behind the ear and caused a decided fracture of the skull. The accident may have some effect on the state field meet which is arranged to take place at Terre Haute next month. - thanks to "s" for ALL her super work with the obits on this site
