Kimbrell - Rilla Hayes

Rilla Kimbrell of the Pythian Home at Lafayette, formerly of Fountain County, age 90, died Saturday afternoon, March 26, in Home Hospital at Lafayette. She was born near Wingate, May 30, 1892, the daughter of John R. and Elizabeth Swank Hayes. She was married in November of 1915 to Edgar A. Kimbrell, who died May 20, 1973. Mrs. Kimbrell was a member of Elmdale Methodist Church near Wingate.
Survivors include two sons, Howard K. of RR 3, Veedersburg, and Byron K. of Santa Rosa, California; a sister, Opal Davis of Indianapolis; a brother Robert Hayes of Waynetown; five grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Maus Funeral Home in Attica with Rev. Craig Bix officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery near Wingate. – thanks to S
