KILLEN, Mary Smith

New Richmond – Mrs. Mary (Smith) Killen, 65, died at her residence here at 1 p.m. Sunday following an illness of six months.  Prior to her illness, Mrs. Killen was New Richmond news correspondent for the Journal and Courier for 19 years.  Born near Linden, she had spent all her life in this vicinity and was married in 1917 to Arthur Killen who died in 1935.  She was a member of New Richmond Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.  Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Maxine W. Rohr of Brownsburg and a sister, Mrs. Mae Fix of Attica.   ~~~transcribed by kbz



“Funeral Notices” Killen, Mrs. Mary – Friends may call at the family residence in New Richmond after 4 p.m. Monday.  Services 2 p.m. Tuesday in New Richmond Methodist Church.  Rev. Donald Wade officiating.  Body to lie in state at the church one hour preceding service.  Burial in Linden cemetery.  Also surviving are a granddaughter, Lianne Rohr and several nieces and nephews.  Brown Funeral Home, Linden in charge of arrangements. ~~~transcribed by kbz
