John W. Kilgore, a Monon brakeman well known here, fell from the train Sunday north of Battle Ground and was instantly killed. He was 24 years of age and unmarried. -s

John Kilgore, fireman on Engine 91, which was pulling train No 3 fell from his engine near Reynolds Saturday night and was killed. Owing to the fact that the boiler extended several feet into the cab the engineer did not miss Kilgore until he had run two or three miles. - kz

Monon, Ind June 23 - John Kilgore of Chicago, a fireman on the railroad while on his run and in the act of filling his fire box with coal was thrown off by the engine pitching in rounding a curve, near this place, his neck being broken in the fall.
