Kiger - Ida Delp

Mrs. Ida Kiger, aged 60 years died at her home in Veedersburg at 5 o'clock Sunday morning. Death was caused by complication which followed an illness of six months. She had been a resident of Veedersburg for the past 15 years and was a member of the Veedersburg United Brethren Church. The deceased was born in Parke County near Marshall, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Riley (Uriel?) Delp (and Nancy Clore?) March 27, 1873. She was united in marriage to John Kiger. Surviving, besides the husband are two daughters, Mrs. Laura Craig, Mrs. Beulah Craig and an adopted son, William Kiger, all of Veedersburg; four sisters Mrs. Cora Irwin of Champaign, Ill; Mrs. Mary Biddle of Clinton; Miss Illene Delp of Indiaanpolis and Mrs. Nalinda Bennett of Veedersburg; 3 brothers, Edward; Jonah and Ambrose Delp all of Marshall; 8 grandch. and two greats. Last rites will be conducted at 2 o'clock Tues afternoona tthe Veedersburg UB Church wit Rev. LL Schoonover, the pastor, officiating. Burial is at Bonebrake Cemetery, two miles south of Veedersburg.
