Kief - Martha Sharp

Martha Sharp Kief died at the Soldiers' Home at Lafayette, August 21, from cerebral hemorrage. She was the daughter of Samuel and Sidney Sharp, and was born Nov 1841 on the farm now owned by Charles Campbell. She was married to David Kief at the close of the Civil War. Four children were born to this union: Nettie, Morton, Marion and Charles. All except Charles preceded her in death. One granddaughter, Mrs. Zora Carlin of Clinton, two halfbrothers and one half-sister, Mrs. Alice Hunt survive her. She spent her girlhood days in Waveland, going to school to Prof. H.S. Kritz. Services were held at the funeral parlors in Clinton. Burial at Riverside Cemetery. - typed by kbz
