Waynetown, Dec 11—William K. KEYES (sic) well known resident of this vicinity passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. JC Utterback at 9:30 Friday night after an illness of 3 years. He had been seriously ill with complications one week. The deceased was born near Waynetown Sept 4, 1851 the son of WC and Esther Thomas Keyes. He was married to Mary Fruits Aug 18, 1878. He was a member of the Waynetown ME Church and spent most of his life in this vicinity. Surviving are the widow, one son, Everett Keys of Kokomo; four daughters, Mrs. Charles Cavin, Bloomington; Mrs. John Truax of near Alamo; Mrs. VC Cate of Bridgeport, Ill; two brothers, John of Veedersburg and Jason of Waynetown and one sister, Mrs. Rosella Fruits of Crawfordsville; 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Waynetown Methodist Church in charge of Rev. Guy E. Tremaine, assisted by Rev. OL Chivington. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery. - kbz
