WAYNETOWN, IND., April 2 Special Mrs. Mary M. Keys, died at 9:30 o'clock Sunday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Truax, of near Alamo, following a stroke of apoplexy Friday.
Born in Iowa, October 13, 1857, the deceased was the daughter of William and Eliza (Jones) Fruits. When she was 3 weeks old the family moved to Indiana and she has since lived in the vicinity of Waynetown and Alamo, being a member of the Waynetown Methodist church. On August 10, 1872 she married Thomas Keys, who died in 1931.
Surviving are four daughters: Mrs. D.C. Pate, of Bridgeport, Ill,; Mrs. Charles Calvin, of Bloomington, Ind.; Mrs. J.C. Utterback, of Waynetown; and Mrs. Truax; one son, Everett Keys of Frankfort; one sister, Mrs. George Maltsbarger, of near Waynetown; one half-sister, Mrs. William Runyan, of near Alamo; one half brother, William J. Fruits; eleven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Waynetown Methodist church Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock with the Rev. Guy E. Tremaine officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic cemetery. – thanks to Kim H
