Crawfordsville, Ind June 13 – Funeral services were being arranged today for Richard F. Keys, 19-year-old former basketball star of New Market, Ind near here who committed suicide by hanging himself at his home near New Market. Coroner AL Loop who investigated said he believed the youth had been worried over a $20,000 damage suit filed last week in Montgomery Circuit Court against he and his father, Perry Keys in connection with an automobile accident Aug 23, 1937.

Crawfordsville, June 13 - Despondency over a $20,000 damage suit filed against his father and himself following an accident is believe to have been the cause of Richard Keys, 19, hanging himself Saturday night in a barn at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Perry Keys at New Market. Coroner LL Loop investigated. The boy, a 1937 graduate of New Market HS and member of its basketball team is survived by his parents and a sister. The funeral will be held at the New Market Christian Church Tuesday at 2:30.

Crawfordsville, Ind June 12 - Said by Coroner AA loop to have been worried over a damage suit filed against his father and himself the day before, Richard Francis Keys, 19 years old, former high school basketball star at New Market south of here took his own life by hanging yesterday. His body was found in the hay oft of a barn at his home in New Market. Young Keys and his father Perry Keys were named defendants in a $20,000 damage suit filed Friday in Montgomery Court in connection with an auto accident Aug 23, 1937.
