Ben J. KESSLER, 77, a lifelong resident of the Ladoga Community died at 10 p.m. Sunday in the Liter Nursing Home at Crawfordsville where he had been a patient since Feb. 16. He had been in failing health four years. Born Nov 5, 1879, near Ladoga, Mr. Kessler was the son of Jacob and Belle NORTHCUTT Kessler. He married Cora E. HARSHBARGER Feb 24, 1904, at the home of his bride's parents, 5 mi. SW of Ladoga. He was a graduate of Ladoga HS and had been a farmer most of his life. Surviving are the widow; two daughters, Mrs. Margaret PATTERSON of Ladoga and Mrs. Sarah Belle SABINE of Akron, OH; two sons, Benjamin of Chicago and Samuel of Ladoga; two brothers, Warner C. of New Ross and Homer of Ladoga and 9 Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wed in the Cox Funeral Home at Ladoga. Bur at Ladoga Cemetery Rev. Virgil Ragan ofIndianapoliswill officiating Friends may call at the funeral home beginning Tuesday.

Funeral services for Ben J. KESSLER Of Ladoga were held Wednesday afternoon at the Cox Funeral Home. Rev. Virgil Ragan of the Fairview Presbyterian Church of Indianapolis officiated and burial was in the Ladoga Cemetery. Pall bearers were JH Nelson; Clyde Kessler of New Market; Earl Roberts; Carl Rhoads; homer Newhouse and Dr. Garth Keller of Danville.
