Ladoga, Oct 11 - Word was received here yesterday that William J. Kessler had died at 10:30 at Camp Sherman, Chillicothe, Ohio with Spanish influenza. His parents Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Kessler of east of town received word on Tuesday of his critical illness and left at once for the camp. Mr. Kessler had gone to Camp Sherman about two months go and had never been home since, but his parents had visited him once. He was 25 years of age and was born and raised on the home place east of town. He attended Ladoga schools and graduated from the local high school in 1912. Later he attended Purdue University since which time he has been a prosperous farmer. William is the third Ladoga boy to lose his life in the service. Besides his parents he is survived by three brothers, Benjamin, Warner and Homer. Mrs Kessler and son, Warner arrived here today with the body and the funeral services will be announced later.  -- kbz
