ROMNEY – Daniel F. Kessinger, 91, of Romney, a retired farmer and school bus driver, died Tuesday afternoon in Home Hospital at Lafayette. He had been ill several years. He was a member of the Romney Presbyterian Church. Mr. Kessinger was born in Arkansas on July 23, 1885, a son of Daniel F. and Anna Rauch Kessinger. He was married to Marie Payne in 1907. Surviving are two daughters, Mildred Kessinger of Romney and Mrs. Edward (Fern) Gearhart of Englewood, Ohio; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife and a daughter. Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Helms Funeral Home at Linden with the Rev. Clayton Kendall officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 5-9 p.m. Thursday. - kbz
