Kersey - Mack

Lebanon Reporter - Mack Kersey, who has been ill for the past six months with tuberculosis, died at 6 o'clock Saturday evening at his home, 217 west South street. Mr. Kersey, who was a son of J.A. Kersey, the dairyman, was thirty-three years, 7 months and 22 days old, having been born in Thorntown October 5, 1877. He had been a resident of Lebanon nearly all his life. While he was a cripple he was industrious and of a cheerful disposition and was well liked by all who knew him. He was married October 29, 1902, in Crawfordsville to Minnie Clouse, who survives. The following brother and sisters are living, Earl, of this city; Mrs. Bessie Bridge of Indianapolis; Mrs. Thomas McKey, of Champaign, Ill,' Mrs. Bert Hiatt, of Darlington; Mrs. Pearl Crownover, of Anderson. He was a member of the M.E. church of Lebanon. The body was removed to the residence of his father, J.A. Kersey, 602 west Main street, and the funeral was held from that residence at 3 p.m. today, the Rev. M.H. Appleby officiating, assisted by the Rev. L.E. Brown. Burial was at Oak Hill cemetery. – kim h
