New Richmond, Dec. 23 -- William Kirkpatrick, a farmer living near New Richmond died about 4 o'clock this morning at the home of his niece, Mrs. Herman Litke (see above), some 3 mi. southeast of this place. Mr. Kirkpatrick was b. Jan 1, 1831 in Scotland moving to this country when he was 30 years old. He was 85 years of age at the time of his death. Mr. Kirkpatrick had suffered a paralytic stroke Fri. evening and from this severe shock he never recovered. Mr. Kirkpatrick is survived by 3 children: Noah of near Wingate, Tom of Indianapolis and Mrs. Oscar Stingley of Elston. The funeral will be held at the ME Church in New Richmond at 2:30 Sun. afternoon. The Rev. Mr. Moore of this place will have charge of the service and the remains will be laid to rest in the New Richmond Cemetery.
