Mrs. J.D. Rankin received a message on Saturday evening that her cousin, Ora King, had been killed in an accident at Alexandria, and that his brother Will was at the point of death. Mr. and Mrs. Rankin drove to Alexandria on Sunday morning and Will King died about an hour after their arrival. A double funeral was held at the Bethany Park Tabernacle in Alexandria on Tuesday afternoon and the attendance was estimated at two thousand. Will King lived for two years with Mrs. Rankin's father, the late William Thorn and was well known here. The death of Ora King resulted from his being knocked down by a cow that he was leading, the back of his head striking on the hard roadway. Mr. and Mrs. Rankin remained for the funeral, coming home Tuesday evening. - typed by kbz
