Millard B. KESTERSON, 78 former postmaster at Milligan died Saturday morning at his home. He was born Aug 11, 1882, Meenona Co, Iowa the son of Samuel and Caroline Siber? Kesterson. In 1904, he married ? Lenna Hutton at Broadlands, Il who died in 1920. He married Hazel Allen at Broadlands. They moved to near Waveland in 1927. Although a farmer, he operated a grocery here and became postmaster in Milligan. He later moved to Bloomingdale where he and his wife operated the Friendship House. He was a member of the Bloomingdale Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife; 3 sons, Harold and Leal of Tracy California and Byron of Jersey City, NJ; two daughters, Mrs. Florence Shelton of Pacific Grove, California and Mrs. Glenn Sharp of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla; 3 brothers, Verlie of Skamakawa, Washington; Irvin of Sidney, Ill and Hubert of Santa Monica, California; 7 grandchildren and 4 greats. He was preceded in death by two children, Faye and Mildred. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in Hunt & Sons Funeral Home with burial in Memory Garden, Rockville.

Crawfordsville, Ind July 22 – Millard B. Kesterson, 78, a native of Iowa and formerly of the Bloomingdale area, died Saturday morning at his home in Crawfordsville.  He was a farmer in the Waveland and Bloomingdale area for many years and operated the Friendship Home in Bloomingdale. Surviving are the widow, Hazel; three sons, Harold, Leal and Byron; two daughters, Mrs. Florence Shelton and Mrs. Geno Sharp and three brothers, Berlie, Irvin and Hubert Kesterson.  The body was taken to the Hunt & Son Funeral Home in Crawfordsville where services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Memory Garden cemetery at Rockville. – kbz

Kesterson, 78 years old, formerly of the Bloomingdale vicinity, who died Saturday will be at 2 oclock Monday afternoon at the Hunt & Son Funeral Home.  Interment will be in Memory Garden Cemetery, Rockville.  He was a former superintendent of the Bloomingdale Friendship Home. Surviving are the widow, Hazel; three sons: Harold, Leal and Byron Kesterson; two daughters, Mrs. Florence Shelton and Mrs. Geno Sharp and three brothers, Berlie, Irvin and Hubert Kesterson all of Crawfordsville. – kbz
