WILLIAMSPORT – Oron Keown, 75, of 11 W. Gregory St., Williamsport, died in Community Hospital here at 7:15 a.m. Saturday. He had been in ill health for five years. Mr. Keown was a retired tile ditcher. Born May 31, 1899, at Morgantown, Ky., he was a son of James Wesley and Eleanor Curtis Keown. He was married to Della Bogges at Owensboro, Ky., on Feb. 1, 1946. She survives. Mr. Keown had lived at Rt. 1, Williamsport for 28 years and had resided at his last address for three months. Surviving with the widow are a stepson, Charles Galloway of Rt. 4, Crawfordsville; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Martha Kalaba of Crawfordsville; two brothers, Thermon of Williamsport and Lindell of Morgantown; three sisters, Mrs. Ethrie Bullington of Williamsport, Mrs. Naomi Mayes of West Lebanon and Mrs. Venie Danbe of New York; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Dale Maus Chapel at Attica with the Rev. Charles Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery at Williamsport. Friends may call at the funeral home today. – jlr
