Mrs. Sarah Ann Kennedy, who for more than 60 years has lived in Boone County passed away Monday morning at 4 o’clock at Thorntown following a year’s decline in health. Her immediate illness and death was due to Bright’s disease. She was a highly respected woman of the county and has many friends to mourn he rloss. For many years she resided in the Sharon neighborhood only recently moving to Thorntown.  The funeral service will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the residence of her son Albert Kennedy in Thorntown and will be conducted by Rev. SA Bender, assisted by Rev. Martin of Hebron, Ind, the latter being a former and much beloved pastor of the deceased. Interment will be made in the new cemetery at Thorntown. Sarah Ann Starks was born to Joshua L. and Mamie P. Starks in Franklin County Feb 21, 1833 and passed away at her home in Thorntown Monday morning at 4 o’clock at the age of 82 years 9 months 1 day. She was married Jan 21, 1855 to James C. Kennedy who department this life Aug 10, 1894.  To this union were born 5 children: Albert L. of Thorntown and Ailbur C. Kennedy of Lebanon who are living and the following three who are deceased: Nettie M; Rollin Eugene and Franklin J.  A lifelong member of Methodist Church at Thorntown she was a good Christian woman whose highest purpose was to serve her Master and be a good wife and mother -.s
