Kennedy - Margaret 1874

On Tuesday, May 5, at her residence in this city, Margaret, wife of Barney Kennedy, died, aged 54 years.
Mrs. Kennedy came to this county from Kentucky in 1839. She was an amiable and kind hearted woman, and was universally esteemed by her neighbors of all classes. Her loss will be deeply felt by all who knew her. She was a faithful member of the Catholic Church, and died fortified in her faith by all the sacraments of the church.
The funeral services were conducted on Thursday by Rev. Father Walters, who passed a high eulogy upon her character and paid a tender tribute to her memory. Interment was at the Catholic Cemetery.
