Jacob Kennedy died at his home near Lizton, Hendricks County, on Saturday night last, aged 73 years. He was born in Bourbon County, Kentucky, and came to Indiana in 1853. For many years he had devoted his time to agriculture and horticulture, but formerly was widely known as a breeder of fine stock. He leaves a widow and seven grown children. His life was pure and gentle, and all his business transactions were characterized by the most scrupulous honesty. He leaves to his posterity the priceless heritage of a name without stain or blemish, and a life spent in doing good. He was a brother of Hon. P. S. Kennedy of this city. -s
