Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Bright Funeral Home for Mrs. Edna Spore Kennedy. Rev. Elton V. Call officiated. Mrs. Richard Coffing and Mrs. Morris Davis sang " I Will Pilot Thee" and " Good Night and Good Morning." Curtis E. Bright, organist, played selected hymns. Pallbearer who also assisted with the floral tributes were James Wasson, Warner Keefe, John Arnold, Benny Beverly, Bill Jefferies and Roy Custer. Burial was in the family plot in the Masonic cemetery. (She died Apr 17)

Mrs. Edna Spore Kennedy, 74, died Sunday evening at the Mapleview Nursing Home after a long illness. A native of Crawfordsville, she was born Aug 2, 1892, a daughter of Omer and Harriet May Hipes Caldwell. She married William R. Spor who died Nov 4, 1947. On Aug 2, 1949, she married Van Kennedy. She was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, a son, Arnold S. Spore; a granddaughter, Mrs. Karolyn Carmen of Crawfordsville; a grandson, Dale Sporel two great granddaughters, Kandice Diane Carmen and Tom Kay Carmen and a brother, William A. Caldwell of Crawfordsville. She was preceded in death by a sister, a brother, a son and daughter. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Bright Funeral Home with Rev. Elton V. Call officiating.  Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today. – kbz
