Mrs. Caroline Kennedy, 72, died Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at her home on South Spann Avenue. Death was due to cancer of the liver from which the deceased has suffered for some time. Mrs. Kennedy was born Jan 12, 1849 in West Virginia and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Yenna. In 1870 she was united in marriage to John C. Kennedy, a Civil War Veteran. Most of her life has been spent in Montgomery County as she came to this community from W. Va when a young girl. She was a member of the Baptist Church and was a woman of estimable qualities. She is survived by the husband and five daughters, Mrs. Sarah F. harrington, Mrs. Fred Holmes, Mrs. WIlliam Kirkman, Mrs. Bert Keessee of this city; Mrs. William Linn of Wheatland, ind. The funeral will be held from the home on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock and will be in charge of Rev. Odell of the Baptist Chruch. Interment in Oak Hill.
