Mrs. Helen L. Kendricks, 63, of 1009 Tuttle Ave. died at 3 p.m. Monday in Culver Hospital where she had been a patient eight days. She had been ill the last four weeks. A native of Alamo, she was a daughter of William and Maude Bannister Pennefather and was born March 11, 1906. She attended school at Ashmore, Ill., and was married May 7, 1923 to Joe Kendricks in Montgomery County. Mrs. Kendricks was a member of Milligan Memorial Presbyterian Church and its Faithful Helpers Class. She was employed 23 years at Sommer Metalcraft Corp. Surviving are her husband; three sons, Charles E., Richard D. and Ronald L., and four daughters, Mrs. (Olive) Clarence Brown, Mrs. (Joan) Bill Cooper, Mrs. (Nancy) Gurney Williams and Mrs. (Mary) David Timpany, all of Crawfordsville; 20 grandchildren and a great-grandchild; a brother, Patrick Pennefather of Charleston, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Carl Dunn of East St. Louis, Ill., and Mrs. Margaret Hobbs of Rantoul, Ill.; an aunt, Grace Scholes of Arcadia, Calif., and nieces, nephews and cousins. Two brothers and a sister are deceased. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hunt and Son Funeral Home, Rev. Charlotte Hotopp officiating, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today. - jlr
