"Waynetown Man Dies of Wounds"

Lt. Robert Norton Kemp, age 22, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. Ramon Kemp, of Waynetown was wounded in action and died December 10 somewhere in Germany , according to word that has just been received by his parents.

Before going in to the army, Lt. Kemp was a pre-medical student at Knox College in Galesburg. He volunteered his service in the Army in 1943. He was sent overseas in July 1944 with the infantry.

Lt. Kemp has two brothers in the service: Pvt. Arnold Kemp, Jr. stationed at Ft. Hayes in Columbus, Ohio and Ensign George Edward Kemp somewhere in the Pacific. He is also survived by a sister, Lois Kemp at home.
