Ivan Leslie Kelsey, 81, a former Crawfordsville resident, died at 8 pm Sunday at Marion where he made his home. He was a retired post office employee. He had served in the Army during World War I in France and was a 50-year member of the American Legion. He was also a member of the National Association of Retired Civil Service Employees. He was born Aug. 19, 1892, at Darlington, a son of Isaac and Charlotte Mote Kelsey. He was married to Jessie Wallace Keesee on Aug. 22, 1923. She died on Feb. 27, 1969. He was married to Clara George, who survives, on Nov. 12, 1969. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Willis (Betty) Sheets of Crawfordsville; a stepson, Robert George of Marion; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother. Services will be conducted at 10:30 am Wednesday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 pm Tuesday.
