Last Sunday afternoon Albert Kelsey died after an illness of some duration with kidney trouble, his end being peaceful and finding him ready. He was over 76 years old and leaves a son, John P. Kelsey and his wife and little Mabel. The funeral occurred on Monday at 2:30 p.m. at the residence, conducted by Bro. Robert Harris. T.C. Shanklin read the obituary being an intimate friend of the deceased. On Tuesday the body was taken to Jefferson for interment. But few people will be more missed than Mr. Kelsey and the family have the sympathy of all. - transcribed by kbz

It was with surprise and regret that the public learned this morning of the death of Albert Kelsey, which occurred last Tuesday at his room on north Green Street. Several days ago he suffered a stroke of apoplexy which finally cause his death. The deceased was 67 years of age and has long been a resident of Crawfordsville. At various times he has engaged in mercantile business. He leaves one daughter, Miss Kelsey the school teacher at the Willson building.  The funeral occurred at Finley Chapel, six miles south of the city.  – kbz

Albert Kelsey, who formerly resided in this county, died at his home near Loretto, Tennessee, January 3, 1898, after an illness of three months.


NOTE: I'm not quite sure when Albert Kelsey did die or if there are multiple ones or some of the newspaper articles are incorrect on dates - WILD !!! - NO Albert Kelseys on findagrave either - weird

Albert Kelsey, aged sixty seven years, received a stroke of apoplexy last Friday night in his room and died at 10:30. His funeral occurred Saturday afternoon at Finley Chapel, north of the city.  Mr. Kelsey was well known all over the county. He was formerly in the grocery business here, but of late years has been selling fruit trees. He leaves one daughter, Miss Blanche Kelsey, a teacher in the Crawfordsville schools.

Albert Kelsey died at Crawfordsville Friday and was buried at the Finley Cemetery Saturday. He was about sixty years of age and was widely known in this county as a fruit tree agent.
