Of her father's family of 8 children, only two are now living, Joseph and John. Janie, George, an inf. brother, Sarah and Amanda, also the father and mother have all preceded her to their home eternal. Mary was an energetic, studious girl. She loved school work and has always taken much interest in all movement for educational advancement. Since her marr. she and her husband have happily resided at their home a short distance north of Wallace, Ind. Although in continuous ill health in late years, Mary was always cheerful and happy. She assumed her responsibilities and cares of homekeepign with pleasure and love, regardless of her incessant affliction. though she is absent, the memory of her sunny life will forever abide. By her optimistic nature she won a wide circle of friends, who will always remember her in the highest esteem, she was a good, generous and helpful neighbor. She was kind to all; she was loved by all. Her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her. The loss of her two sisters, so recently was a severe blow to Mary. Her grief seemed unbearable and since their sad departure her health has been gradually declining. Every possible step was taken to restore health, but she continue to grow more frail. A short time ago she was taken to the Fletchers Sanitarium at Indianapolis, with hopes of her recovery, but all efforts were futile. Again the Great Reaper came and plucked another flower to be transplanted in the fields Elysian. Thus within less than 5 months the Death Angel has thrice visited this family and claimed three loving sisters: Sarah, Amanda and Mary. SHe leaves her husband, two brothers, six nieces and five nephews who are sadly bereft by their loss of this devoted wife, loving sister and affection aunt. Many other relatives and numerous friends join in deepest sympathy for anthe bereaved family. Fun. serv. were conducted by Rev. Corenlius Airhart at the Christian Church at Wallace, Ind. May 5, 1916. Many flowers were given in loving memory of this dear one. After funeral serv. the flower-laden casket was tenderly conveyed to the same white funeral carriage that had so lately borne her two precious sisters.
