COVINGTON -- Marx R. Keller, 63, Rt. 2, Covington, a farmer and former trustee of Mound Township, Warren County, died at 12:53 a.m. Sunday in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Ill., where he had been a patient three weeks. A life resident of Mound Township, he was a trustee two terms, farmed, formerly was a DX Oil Co. distributor, was employed in 1961-69 by the State Highway Department and was a former member and president of the Covington School Board. He was an avid horseman and fox hunter. Mr. Keller was a son of George and FiDella Ritchey Keller and was born July 1, 1907. He was married Aug. 18, 1926 to Martha Ewers, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Elmer (Dorothy) Strawson of Covington and Mrs. Jo Ann Knecht of Rt. 2, Covington; two sons, John H. "Jack" and Joseph L. Keller of Rt. 2, Covington, and 10 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. His parents and a granddaughter preceded him in death. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home, with Rev. Eugene Rapson officiating and burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Covington- Marx R. Keller, age 63, a resident of Covington Rt.2, died at 12:53 a.m. Sunday, June 13, in St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Ill., where he had been a patient three weeks. Mr. Keller was born July 1, 1907 in Mound Township and had been a farmer most of his life. He was a former distributor for the D-X Oil Company, and he was employed by the Indiana State Highway from 1961 to 1969. He had served eight years as trustee of Mound Township and he was a former member and president of the Covington Community School Board. Mr. Keller was an avid horseman and fox hunter. He clerked many auction sales throughout the area. Surviving, in addition to the wife, are: two daughters, Mrs. Elmer (Dorothy) Strawser of Covington and Mrs. JoAnn Knecht of Covington Rt 2; two sons, John H (Jack) Keller and Joseph L Keller, both at home; 10 grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home here. The Rev. Eugene Rapson officiated and burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery. - typist Beth
