EM Keller, 93, 613 S. Green St died about 7 p.m. at Stephens Nursing Home in Crawfordsville where he had been a patient for the past week. Mr. Keller had been in failing health for several years. Born sept 19, 1864 in Fountain Co near Wallace, he was the son of Sam H and Catherine Clodfelter Keller. He was married to Narcissa E. Livengood Aug 8, 1885 in her parents' home. They celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary last year. Mr. Keller attended school in Fountain County and after marrying started housekeeping on a farm near Wallace. He came to Crawfordsville in 1901. He was employed with the JQ Clark Tank Co in Crawfordsville several years. He was a member of the 1st Christian Church where he and his wife were the oldest living couple in the church. Surviving are the wife, one daughter, Mrs. Roy D. Shields of Crawfordsville, one sister, Mrs. Jacob E. Fine, 97 of Wallace; two granddaughters, Mrs. Robert I. Maze of Lebanon and Prof. Dorothy Ann Shields of New Brunswick, NJ and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant son, two sisters and one brother. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Bright Funeral home with Rev Paul E. Million officiating. Burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. - transcribed by kbz
