Capt. Dan Keller, the noted old Democratic fifer of Bal Hinch who has fingered his harsh and discordant reed at many a rally in the good old times, missed voting his old sentiments this year. On last Tuesday afternoon he rallied for the last time and passed over to that bourne from which no mortal e’er returns. Capt. Keller was a harmless, innocent old man, guileless as a child. The whole community will miss him. He was one of the landmarks of the busy days long gone by and it is hard to believe that the old man is gone. - kbz
