Frank Gene Keesee Jr., 18, of Indianapolis, former Crawfordsville resident, died in General Hospital at Indianapolis at 2 am Friday of injuries he received four hours earlier in a motorcycle accident. The youth, a senior at Arsenal Technical High School at Indianapolis, was injured when his small motorcycle ran into an automobile at the intersection of 17th and Rural streets. The accident victim was treasurer of the senior class at Tech; member of the human relations and senior prom committees and was a Star Scout while a member of Troop 344 at Mt. Zion School here several years ago. At Tech he was also a member of the Key Club. Born Sept. 12, 1947, in Culver Hospital, he was the son of Frank Gene and Mary Louise Kennedy Keesee. The family moved to Indianapolis about four years ago. The youth had been employed in Murphy stores at Eastgate, Fountain Square in Indianapolis. He recently had won a scholarship to Wabash College for next year. The survivors include the parents; two brothers, Larry Lee and Timothy Allen Keesee; a sister, Carol Jayne Keesee; two grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clair O. Kennedy of Crawfordsville and two great-grandmothers, Mrs. Ethel Kennedy of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Ella Gagoan of Kentland. The body was brought to the Bright Funeral Home here but services are incomplete. Funeral services for Frank Gene Keesee Jr., 18 year old former Crawfordsville youth fatally injured when his motorcycle struck a car at Indianapolis, are announced for 11 am Tuesday at Bright Funeral Home. Rev. Paul Bates of Indianapolis will officiate, and burial will be in Masonic Cemetery here. Friends may call at the funeral home. The family moved to Indianapolis four years ago.
