Mosses Keeney, a cousin of Mr. Jere Keeney, Sr., of this city, died at his home in Danville, Ind., on last Saturday evening of apoplexy, aged 78 years. He was at one time a citizen of this county but for many years has made his home in Hendricks county where he was one of the most prominent citizens, first and foremost in all public enterprises that were for the up building of the town and county. He left a wife and two children, John I Keeney and Mrs, Dick Hathaway. Many friends in Crawfordsville will regret to hear of the death of Moses Keeney. He was one of the most widely known horseman in the state. He it was who discovered and developed the sensation al trotting mare Nelly K whose races with the great Rosewood were among the track sensation of twenty years ago. - thanks Kim H
