Linden news – On Last Tuesday morning Dr. Henry Keeney felt better than usual and has the sun shone he would have been on the way to your city but as it was he did not start and about 9:30 a.m. he complained of pain in his heart and sent for Dr. Dingman who came on short notice but could do no good as the disease went to his heart and at 10:30 was a corpse. Kind hands administered to his wants but his time had come. Funeral at the ME Church at 10:30 am. Tuesday preached by Bro. Beal. The Linden Funeral Directors, Jones & McClure of Linden did all that could be done. Interment at Linden. It was a large funeral as he had lived here a great many years. He was 83 years old last October. The IOOF order had charge of the funeral as he was one of the oldest members in these parts. Peace to his dust. – kbz
