Funeral services were held today at the Wallace Lutheran Church for Owen Keeling, 83, who died at 4:00 a.m. Tuesday, Jan 31, at the home of a nephew, Bernard Clore. He had been seriously ill for 10 days after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage. Mr. keeling was born Nov 2, 1866 to Dexter and Mary Lowe Keeling, residents of Fountain County. He was a retired farmer and well known throughout the community for his beautiful gladiola gardens. He was a member of the Ingersol Christian Church of Wallace, also a member of the Wallace Masonic Lodge. Surviving are six sisters: Mrs. Erastus Clore of Waveland; Mrs. Albert Shular of Marshall; Mrs. Houston Sowers of Wallace; Mrs. Jacob Fritz of High Point, NC and Mrs. Horace Weaver of Wallace. Mrs. Leo Campbell of Crawfordsville; 3 brothers, James W. Keeling of Veedersburg; Ora Keeling of Wallace and Clifford Keeling of Waynetown. Rev. John Servies had charge of the services with the burial service, held at the Wallace Lutheran Cemetery. - kbz
