Hillsboro - Mrs. Mabel C. Keeling, 76, of Hillsboro, a retired elementary teacher died Sunday evening in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette. Born Oct 17, 1899, she was the daughter of George W. and Mary Rusk Parker. Mrs. Keeling was married June 15, 1922 at Hillsboro to Rolland O. Keeling, Sr. who died June 30, 1975. Mrs. Keeling was a member of the Hillsboro United Methodist Church, Hillsboro Legion Auxiliary, Come Join Us class, the United Methodist Women, DAR and National Retired Teachers Association. She was a graduate of Hillsboro HS and Indiana State University. Surviving are two sons, Rolland O, Jr. of Houghton, MI; and Lerroy P. of Kingman; a sister, Margaret Cronk of Hillsboro; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Crumley-William Funeral Home with Rev. Ernest Hayden and Rev. Arthur Schenck officiating. Burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday.- kbz
