Crawfordsville, Oct 4- Byron Cox Post of the American Legion conducted services at the burial at Oak Hill Cemetery here for Lt. William P. Kane, grandson of Dr. Warren H. Ristine, killed in an airplane crash in Kansas in which 13 persons met death. Lt. Kane, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur W. Kane of Western Springs, Ill was with the engineering corps of the Army Air Forces and was a graduate of Purdue University class of 1941. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps in February 1943.  Lt. Kanes paternal grandfather was Dr. William Patterson Kane who was president of Wabash College from 1899 until 1906. The airman is survived by his parents and a sister, Jeannette Kane, student at Indiana University.
