Kalweit - Julius

Julius Kalweit, age 60, an employee of the Mid States Steel & Wire Co. 31 years, died Saturday morning at 4:20 a.m. at his home, 308 Mill St. He had been ill several months with a complication of diseases. Born March 26, 1884, in Latvia, Germany, Mr. Kalweit was married Dec 24, 1921 to Ruth Faust of Crawfordsville, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Edward Kalweit of the Navy Air Forces, Melbourne, Fla and Arthur Kalweit, in service with the Navy at Great Lakes, Ill; a daughter Judy Kalweit at home and a granddaughter, Catherine of Lafayette. The body was taken to the Proffitt & Sons mortuary where funeral services will be held at 4 o'clock Monday afternoon with burial at Oak Hill cemetery. Friends may pay their respects at the late residence preceding the rites. The Crawfordsville Eagles lodge of which Mr. Kalweit was a charter member will conduct its burial service at the graveside.
