In his last sickness and suffering he exemplified that   courage and patience possessed only by those who have their faith   grounded deep in God, knowing that his end was near a few days before his death, he called his family to his bedside, saying   that his suffering and pain would soon be over and asking them one and all to meet him in heaven: "There is a hour of peaceful   rest to mourning wanderers given; there is a joy for souls distressed a balm for every wounded breast, tis found above in   Heavenl" The funeral was held Saturday, May 13 in the union Presbyterian   church conducted by his pastor, the Rev. KJ McAulay. The body was   laid to rest in the beautiful K. of P. cemetery at Mace. -- kbz
