The sad intelligence has been received here of the death of Rev. Charles Albert Kanouse, which occurred at his home in Princeton. Ky., Monday morning shortly after nine o'clock. Mr. Kanouse graduated from Wabash college in the class of '73, and soon after wards was united in marriage to Miss Lucy Hurley, daughter of George D. Hurley, of this city. After a most, successful pastorate of several years in Wabash Mr. Kanouse received and accepted a call to the Presbyterian church at Princeton, Ky. He was just becoming endeared to his people when carried away by typhoid lever. He leaves a wife and one daughter to mourn his loss. Mr. Kanouse has many warm friends in this city who will be pained to learn of his  death.  He was a brilliant scholar and a Christian gentleman whose loss will be severely felt.  He was reared in Lafayette and has many friends residing at that place.  The remains arrived here on Monday in charge of his family and Mr. Hurley who had been with him for some days previous to his death. - Kim H

The funeral will occur tomorrow morning at 10:30 o’clock from the residence of Geo. D. Hurley, Rev. E. B. Thomson officiating, assisted by Rev. H. M. Rogers, of Dayton. Interment at Oak Hill Cemetery. - s
