KINGMAN, Ind. (CNS) — Mrs. Orpha Jordan, 80, of Kingman, died Monday (March 30, 1970) at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ruth Holstine of Kingman. Mrs. Jordan was born Jan. 12, 1890, at Veedersburg, daughter of Henry and Samantha Harold Shutt. She was married to George C. Jordan, who preceded her in death in December, 1959. Mrs. Jordan was a member of the Friends Church of Vermilion Grove, Ill., and was a Gold Star Mother. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Holstine, Mrs. Ellen Steinkraus of San Francisco, Calif., and Mrs. Mabel Bush of Seattle, Wash.; a son, Paul of Brownsburg; a brother, Raymond Shutt of Waynetown; a sister, Eva Applegate of San Diego, Calif.; nine grandchildren and four great-granddaughters. She also was preceded in death by a son, George Richard, who was killed in France during World War II; two brothers and four sisters. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. CST Thursday at the Friends Church in Vermilion Grove, Ill., with the Rev. Dwight Moss, assisted by the Rev. Luther Page of Kingman officiating. The body will be taken to the church two hours before the funeral. Burial will be in the Vermilion Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. EST Wednesday at the Woodrow Funeral Home in Kingman. --waw
