Jolley - Mabel Smock

Waynetown Dec 17 -- Word has been received by friends of the death of Mrs. Mabel Smock Jolley, wife of Orrie Jolley former local resident at the Jolley home in Indianapolis at 9 o'clock Tuesday night. Death was reported to have been caused by complications. Mrs. Jolley was born in Southport and had spent her entire life there. She was married in August 1926 to Orrie Jolley who was a resident of this place before he moved to Indianapolis 15 years ago. She had been in ill health since last spring. The husband is the only known living relative of the dead woman. She was well known locally having visited Waynetown many time since her marriage to Mr. Jolley. Short services will be held at the Royster & Askin Funeral Home in Indianapolis at 9:30 o'clock Friday morning after which the body will be brought to the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery where brief services will be held at 12:30 o'clock with the Rev OL Chivington pastor of the local Methodist Church officiating.
