KINGMAN -Funeral services for Paul Johnson were held Monday morning at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Covington. He was born in Kingman in 1912 to Dr. and Mrs. E.E. Johnson. He was graduated from Kingman High School. He was a pharmacist, and had worked in Florida and North Carolina besides Indiana. Survivors include the widow, Rose Marie Spensard; two sons, Paul E. of Denver, Colo., and John Herbert of Bradenton, Fla., two daughters, Mrs. Diana Hartenstein of Bradenton, Fla, and Mrs. Ruth Varnes of Sarasota, Fla.; a step-daughter, Mrs Lorraine Tierney of Largo, Fla.; two brothers, Harrell of Covington and Theodore of Kingman, and 21 grandchildren. Burial was in the Mt. Hope Cemetery at Covington. Mr. Johnson died in Brevard Hospital in Henderson County, N.C.

Covington, Ind. (CNS) - H. Paul Johnson, 55, of Henderson, N.C. and formerly of Fountain County, died Thursday (Aug 24, 1967) at a Brevard , N.C. hospital following extened illness. Born in Kingman in 1912, he was the son of Dr. E.E. and Laverna Johnson. He was married to Rose Marie Spenard. He had worked as a pharmacist in Indiana, Florida and North Carolina. Mr. Johnson is survived by the widow; two sons, Paul E. of Denver, Colo. and John Hubert of Bradenton, Fla.; two daughters, Mrs. Diane Hartenstein of Bradenton and Mrs. Ruth Varns of Sarasota, Fla.; two stepsons, Roger Stenard and William Spenard, both of Bradenton; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Lorraine Tierney of Largo, Fla.; two brothers, Harold of Covington and Ted of Kingman; and 21 grandchildren. The body is being returned to the Hegg Funeral Home in Covington where friends will be received on Sunday evening. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with the Rev. Donald Vernon officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. The family requests that any memorials be in the form of contributions to the American Heart Society.
