Crawfordsville, Ind., March 10 - Special, Stanley W. Jones, 65 years old, one of the first rural free delivery carriers in the United States, died in his home here today.
Mr. Jones began as a rural carrier with the Crawfordsville post office 38 years ago. He was retired in 1934 after 30 years continuous service with Crawfordsville office. He was a member of the Rural Letter Carriers Association and had been active in association affairs. Survivors are the widow and two sisters. – thanks so much to Kim H
