Rockville – John P Jerling, 69, of Rt. 1, Rockville, died at 8:40 a.m. Tuesday in Lee Alan Bryant Health Care Center here. A former resident of Terre Haute, Mr. Jerling was a veteran of World War II and a retired medical laboratory technician. Born Oct. 3, 1911, at New York City, he was the son of John G. and Eleanor Peterson Jerling. His wife, Janice, preceded him in death in 1958. Surviving are two sons, James of St. Jospeh (Joseph), Mich., and Michael of Terre Haute; a daughter, Sigrid Jerling of Lewis, Del.; a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Villabona of Sudlersville, Md.; and three grandchildren. Services are at 10 a.m. Friday in Barnes Mortuary with Rev. J.O. Trousdale officiating. Burial will be in Fountain Park Cemetery at Winchester. Friends may call at the mortuary after 5 p.m. Thursday. smc
