Ladoga - Mary E. Jeffries, 85 of Ladoga died at 3:45 a.m. Tuesday in Hendricks county Hospital, Danville, ind. Mrs. Jeffries had worked several years at the Ladoga Nursing Home. She was a member of the Ladoga Christian Church, Golden Circle SS class and Haw Creek Club. She was born in Montgomery County March 15, 1903 to Howard E. and Elizabeth Cummings Lame. She married Jewell Lee Jeffries on March 15, 1924. He died in 1956. Surviving are six sons, Harvey J. and Philip W. of Ladoga,James P. of Crawfordsville, Robert M. of Rockville; Ralph E. of Indianapolis and Jerry L. of roachdale; three daughtesr, Mrs. Lavern (Barbara) Davidson of Crawfordsville; Mrs. Fred (Betty) Brennan of Jamestown and Rebecca J. Jeffries of San Diego, Calif; a brother, Oscar Lame of Bainbridge; a sister, Lucile Merly of Phoenix, AZ; 31 grandchildren and 50 great grandchildren. Two infant sons and a brother and sister are deceased. Funeral services are scheduled 2 p.m. Thursday in Ladoga Christian Church with Rev. Bill Worrell officiating. Burial in Roachdale Cemetery. Friends may call at Servies & Morgan Funeral Home at Ladoga 3-8 p.m. Wednesday.
